About
Hi! I’m Amy from A Practical Sort. I provide one-on-one assistance for hoarding and chronic disorganisation. I work towards being practical, not perfect. We work together finding organising solutions that suit your life and personal requirements. Regardless of whether you are already on the path of change or you need help getting started, I provide open, honest, friendly and respectful assistance.
I hold a PhD in Environmental Science and spent many, many years researching the impacts of clutter. A Practical Sort is a turn to look at waste before it enters the environment. I specialise in finding new homes for treasures. I donate and recycle as much as possible so we limit what goes to landfill while also helping others.
I work within the Greater Brisbane area including the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast and my qualifications include:
- Professional Member of the Institute of Professional Organisers
- Graduate of Hoarding Home Solutions (HHS)
- Mental Health First Aid Qualified (MHF)
- First Aid and CPR Qualified
- Police and WWC certification
